Grandmaster Bing Fan YeYoung developed the Tao Of Yeyoung Tea® in 2005. The Tao Of Yeyoung Tea® ceremony is a spiritual endeavor that dignifies the elegance and serenity of the Literati tradition. The Tao Of Yeyoung Tea® ceremony consists of a set of high quality Zisha teapots, one small brewing pot and one large serving pot, which are matched exactly or married in an aesthetically pleasing way. The Tao Of Yeyoung Tea® ceremony also includes an incense burner, tea ocean, teapot brush, brush cup, and strainer. We promote the Art of Tea Drinking as a way to connect one's spiritual practice with one's daily routines. Following the YeYoung Tradition, the Tao Of Yeyoung Tea® promotes the Chinese Art of Tea, and facilitates daily spiritual and healing practices.
Tea was known in China for more than four thousand years before it was first tasted in the West about four hundred years ago. Since the mid 700 AD, the Chinese Art of Tea has been established and practiced as a way to bridge reclusive life to lay life, and thus to connect one's spiritual practice with one's daily routines. Tea has been one of “the seven most important matters in Chinese life” that follows the order of firewood, rice, cooking oil, salt, soy sauce, vinegar, and tea. Tea drinking also has played an important role in approaching awakening for Confucians, Buddhists, and Taoists in China. The Chinese Art of Tea has been ultimately one of the paths to the enlightenment.
The Tao Of Yeyoung Tea® is offered by YeYoung Culture Studies, a center for traditional Chinese cultural studies and practices based in Sacramento California, USA.
